Makeup is a craft of mine, a hobby if you will. Makeup is something I just practice for fun  even if its just to stay home and watch “The Golden Girls”. I love to try these crazy makeup looks and potentially perfect them to a point where I can where them in public. It is worth mentioning that someone who spends as much time with this form of art does not want to hear “You don’t need makeup”. Hearing “You don’t need to what makes you happy” is a mess up thing to say. My makeup is not hurting anyone and thats also a misogynist  remark and I know we are better than that. So here are some crazy trend for you to wear proudly.

Glitter

This is hella trendy and a good way to go from 0 to 100. Any smokey eye can look a 2012 Kesha music video. Experiment with glitter and transform your average looks. Try a double wing or a cut crease. Make sure you get glitter glue to go along with your glitter pigments.

Color Liners

Instead of the generic black wing make it pink or double the wing and put the link of top. Pretty simple but effective.

Eye Dots (No Pic)

Put two dots under the center of your bottom lid. I love doing this because it just makes me look cute and animated. I haven’t seen may people do this is person so its unique. For this I just use the tip my my mascara and dab it in the center of my bottom lid.

Faux Freckles (No Pic)

Since I recently became a ginger I put on faux freckles a lot. This is big in the makeup world but a way to spice is it up is to foil freckles too. Add some colors to your regular freckles and get creative. I use a very thin brush from BH cosmetics and a dark brown foundation, then I blend the freckles in with my finger a bit.

High End Makeup I Appreciate That I Own

This list will be a short one because only on two occasions have I ever spent my life savings on a beauty product. You do not necessarily need to spend tuition for makeup but these are purchases I spent more than $20 that are worth every penny.

Morphe 35o Pallet

I use this everyday and its the only decent eyeshadow pallet I have. This was a gift from my mom and I greatly appreciate it. The colors are pretty neutral for all year round so I get a lot of use out of it. Posting this on snap made me a cool kid for 2. 5 minutes so I highly recommend.

Becca Foundation

I bought this with my hard earned money dollars and it is the best foundation I have ever used. The color match is perfect and its matte, because I don’t do oily. This is one of those things that hurts my soul to use because I cannot replace it and its living on a prayer right now. It has lasted a while and it has full coverage so I recommend.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel

I have THICK brows and I only know one way to do them, BOLD. Usually brow gels cannot hold them in place and I cannot be caught slipping. This is the only gel I can use and rely on to keep my brows fresh. I don’t really feel bad about splurging on this because it last so long and it was a gift on the first place.

Urban Decay Illuminating Highlighting Trio

These are three good neutral highlights that are very subtle highlights. Sometimes your highlight doesn’t need to be beaming and you just want to look dewy, so I recommend this pallet. It comes with a good brush as well and a full size mirror.

Some Beauty Bits

I really love makeup, it is the most fun I have getting ready to go to places I hate. I also buy makeup with my own little bits of money so its all for the most part affordable. Even though most of what I have is affordable, they’re are some items I do believe you should splurge on such as foundation. Makeup wise I am open for the most part on what I use because I do have to make due with what I have most of the time. So without further delay here is some products I have tried and liked.

Beauty sponges

When I first started using makeup, maybe like four years ago, I had problems with blending. Blending helps get rid of harsh lines to hide where your make up starts and ends. Rather then getting the famous Beauty blender I just use random sponges from the low end brands. The one being shown is from real techniques and its really soft and easy to clean.

NYX Liquid Lingerie

NYX in general is a really good brand and its hella affordable. Their liquid lips are good nudes and mauves. They also last very well and I’m usually someone who struggles to keep lip color on my lips. My favorite color from what I have is Seduction, its a peachy nude color; perfect for spring.

Colourpop Highlighter

I love highlighter, it is my favorite part of makeup. I take highlight so seriously it is what I spend the most on. Colourpop highlight is very pigmented and it has big shade range. I typically style within my gold highlights because It goes best with my brown completion. It has a unique texture so I apply it with my fingers and it last all day.

NYX Stay Matte Foundation

This is one I’m on the fence about because I have the worst time finding foundation that actually matches my skin color. If foundation isn’t too gray/pale then its orange. I spent most of my high school career looking like I wanted to make America great again. So my advice if you have the same problem is to opt of the lighter shade instead of orange because most of the time the light color will set to your face. Also, don’t dwell too much on foundation because a lot of it will be corrected with highlight and contour.

BH Cosmetics Brushes

Everyone who does makeup should start off with a brush set and then start collecting individuals. This, like sponges, is something you can never have too many off. My first brush set was from eBay and it was fairly decent, but not its on its last legs. As a Christmas present from a dear friend I was blessed with this brush kit. I use this everyday and I take it when I travel.

Contour Brush

This brush is a $2 God sent. Every single person who does makeup has struggled with contour and this brush makes it easier. If you powder contour or use bronzer this brush is the best and easiest applicator. Its literally one sweep. For the price everyone should have it and people call it the dupe (cheaper version) for this MAC brush I don’t know the name of. Oh, and this brush is very sturdy, with soft bristles that hardly ever shed. I’ve had this brush probably a year and I use it a lot.

LA Girl Pro Conceal

I use this all day, everyday. I use this as my highlight and contour and because they work so well I don’t use anything else. I probably should branch out and try more concealer but I have zero complaints about this one. ITs $3 at any beauty supply and has a wide color range. If you get this I recommend three colors, two shades lighter and darker than your skin and one that matches. I’m not a fan of the color correctors, but thats probably because I’m not completely sure how to do that.

Ditch The Bomber Jacket

Fashion has become this aesthetically  pleasing point and I’m glad we made this far as a society. Although, we dress better it has gotten a bit repetitive and everyone wears the different renditions of the same H&M mahican. This is perfectly fine if you don’t mind assimilating but for those who love the attention of being different here are some trends to try out.

Trenchcoats

I persoanlly haven’t seen many people wearing trenches so you will definitely stand out wearing one. This is also perfect for the winter transition to spring because it’s heave enough to keep you warm but light enough for comfort. This is one of those items that you can choose whatever color and it’ll still look amazing.

Thrift Shops

I always shop at shifts and find the best statement pieces. you can always get a good statement piece s at the reg stores at F21 and H&M but it’ll be costly. The thrift shop is good alternative to finding one of a kind pieces that are budget friendly. It s also a good place to discover your style and find good vintage clothes. You can find some real good old school finds and really stand out. My best pieces are shifted and most of the time they are one of a kind. Not only can you find clothes but unique decorative pieces.

Protective Styles

Have commitment issues like me, where a wig. This is great for testing hair colors and styles. If you wear braids or twist try putting in colors you wouldn’t normally try. The possibilities are endless with your hair and it never has to be permanent. Hair is hair a the end of the day and we shouldn’t be afraid to try the daring ones. I use to be so extra about wearing my bantu knots.

Spring means we can all go back to wearing nice clothes and having moisturized lips. Even though March is continuing to be the most ugliest of months weather wise you can use this time to prepare for what is to come in April. As beautiful and perfect as I am, it is even difficult for me to style for spring and summer, I’m more of a Fall style. Because I am this amazing generous beauty I will give you tips.

Pastels

Spring and pastels go together like Trump and racism. You can never of wrong with a powder pink and any light wash pair of jeans.

Vans

Legit any professional/glam outfit you have can become comfy with a pair of Vans. They’re a quick fix for that comfy ready to go look.

Simplicity

If all else fails just keep it simple. Solid colors and your everyday comfy shoes are a perfect go to. Hair and makeup will compensate for what ever your outfit lacks. A good hair day can pay the bills.
