Creations – CT101 Digital Storytelling

This is a project that I recently completed for my Motion Graphics class. This was done in Adobe Illustrator and took about 3 weeks. This is a character that I created and added a background behind him, which contains a planet and some stars. This was pretty difficult because I had never drawn on a computer screen before, especially using a mouse and I also had no previous experience with Illustrator but I challenged myself and was able to create something very decent in regards to amateur work.

Another Logo Made

So I’ve been messing around with MS Paint again because I recently made a new blog on Tumblr which will contain just black and white photos from my daily life. I found a great theme that contained a sidebar but I didn’t have any image to put in said sidebar and I wasn’t happy just putting one of the old logo icons that I had already made so I decided to make a new using an old logo I had previously created. I just made a double, and flipped it so that the two Ks mirror each other. This look is really ideal because it looks cool and symmetrical while also maintaining purpose since my initials are K.K. This came out a bit better than I thought it would, especially since I had to line everything up just using my eyes and making guesses as to where they should go since I don’t have Photoshop on my laptop at home and everyone knows how primitive and basic MS Paint is so I didn’t have much tools to utilize but I think it came out pretty decently, to say the least. Hoping to clean this up on Photoshop when I get the change.

In this image that I created using about 20 different photos taken from the internet, I portrayed my character’s parents being abducted by other life forms.

This project was extremely fun to do because I literally had to think of everything myself and build upon my ideas in order to create one complex image.

This took me about 8+ hours to do in Photoshop, and as a person who is a complete newbie when it comes to using Photoshop, I am very proud of the outcome.

This is a 3D design that I came up with for my Hacking & Building class. It’s called the Spoon Drip Catcher and it’s the first invention I’ve ever executed. I created it using a 3D designing website called Tinkercad. The next step after this is printing it out using a 3D printer and testing it.

These are some other logos that I’ve created in MS Paint for my Tumblr blog’s sidebar image. I’m really into digital/futuristic/cyber themes which is greatly portrayed by the images above.

I’ve sort of “branded” the title “Visual Deviant” for my Tumblr blog, although I often use “visualwave” as well. I’d like to think that some of the images and texts that I post on my Tumblr sort of deviate from what would normally be appealing.
