I recently found an article about AMV’s (Anime Music Videos) in which someone was discussing how they kept running into copyright infringement issues when posting videos to Youtube or other platforms. The article basically explained why that was happening and how AMV’s can be considered fair use. When it comes to the video itself, the issue of copyright mainly focuses on what aspects of the original content is being used and how much of it is being used. As long as small parts of the original content are being used that are not major scenes, then it can be considered fair use. AMV’s are mostly considered fair use if it is clear that the video is serving strictly as fun and entertainment instead of for “personal and financial gain”. When it comes to the audio it is mostly seen as fair use because through AMV’s songs become popular and people are exposed to new songs that they probably would not have found if not for the video. It is important that anything you create does not impose on the original content or negatively effects it.
Creating this blog was fairly fast and simple. The one thing that took me the most time was coming up with a name for the website. I finally decided on wandering belle because I thought it was the perfect, or as close to perfect as I could get, name for a beauty/fashion blog for free spirited styles. I haven’t decided yet exactly what i want to start posting yet but I’m sure I’ll figure it out soon. I don’t have any fears about running this blog, I think it will be rewarding and the good kind of challenging.
Making this animated GIF was a lot easier than I thought it would be but only because of the tutorial that was up. I had previous experience with photoshop in high school but it wasn’t so in depth. While I remembered a few things I realized that I had forgot majority of it. I liked the idea of the eyes moving but I wanted to try something a little more complicated. The only thing I could think about making a GIF of was Goku and honestly,I am happy with the way this came out.
One Assignment I came across that I would love to learn how to do is this one.
It’s a GIF of Clint Eastwood looking back at some weird/strange behavior. The example GIF is so funny and when I saw it I immediately came up with some ideas of what I would put behind him. I have a bunch of younger cousins between the ages of 8 to 17 and they are always bombarding our group chats with the most random things, but some of those things would be perfect in a GIF like this.
Another thing that really interested me about this GIF was the fact that there are two layers with different things happening in each. It’s such a unique look and I would love to learn an easier way to do this. I say “easier” because there was a tutorial up but after reading it I was even more confused than when I began. I think this is one thing i definitely need to learn by the time this course is over. Here is the link to the tutorial.
Maybe I don’t have the best idea of what’s funny but i find dancing dogs absolutely hilarious! When i saw the assignment “Animals Doing Funny Things” I knew I just had to create my own GIF of something. I found a lot of funny compilation videos but I think this particular scene was too good for me to pass up. I think what made it even funnier was the fact that I was listening to a music when I happened to come across this dancing dog and he just so happened to be dancing to the beat of the song I was listening to. Animals do the funniest things and I know I won’t be getting tired of this GIF anytime soon. Here is the link to the assignment.
And here is the link to the original video for anyone in the mood for a couple laughs:
