Well another semester has come and gone for me, but it’s time to reflect on the semester. This semester has been rather hectic for me due to my anxiety and condition, which I’m going to have to send documents to the disability office for. CT101 is one of the classes I took since it’s a class I have never heard of before. The class itself really interested me and actually got me into creating my own website which I’ve tried before but gave up on, using Wix never worked either. WordPress was something I have never really heard about until I took the class, and might I say it’s a lot easier to use and not messy like Wix. I had fun fooling around with the my website, and was able to add a proper working music player that doesn’t take up majority of page!
As form y future plans for the website, it’s probably going to be a place where I can vent and post some of my photography work and creative ideas. Since I want to do photography, script writing, acting, filming, music production, and video editing I want to have a place where I can have all my work. So that means that I will be keeping my account on Reclaim Hosting active and keeping my very unique domain name. I won’t really put it on Tumblr since I don’t want to be running three different blogs at the same time, two is enough for me. My domain name is probably the one I consider most you unique because come on, who i nthe world drinks dish water? Pretty disgusting, although I’m not saying I drank dish water, it’s just something that would catch people’s attention. Not to mention that I tend to come up with weird names, like look at my tumblr and instagram.. Although I am not sharing those.~ It defines who I am through the words and will make other remember the name, it’s something you don’t say on every website, and the combination of these words activates curiousity.. well to me that is.~
Overall I’m bglad I was able to attend the class and learn more about website building, and I hope to keep using my website as a place to store my work and show off to future employers!
I recently watched four movies in a row, imagine the fatigue I was in after those four movies. The movies I watched were ”The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”, ”John Wick”, ”Nightcrawler”, and ”The Birdman”. All four of these movies were magnificent and well made! Movies I suggest everyone should go see, although be wary about Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, there is a rape scene.. and it’s very distrubing to see.. but don’t worry justice gets served! Aslo be wary for The Birdman since it’s a certain movie that not everyone will understand, it’s about the line between relaity and fantasy. Some people will get confused and hate The Birdman. The two I want to talk about the most is Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and John Wick. These two movies revived my passion to get into film, create ideas, make scripts, direct, record, produce, and maybe act. These two movies really show what I love about movies in general, the work put into them and great techniques they use to film certain parts and tell stories. I am glad I watched these movies because I was in slump where I kept telling myself, ”I’m never going to achieve my dream because people tell me it’s impossible and that I can’t find anyone with the same passions.” I want to be friends with people who want to make their dreams come true, make a production company and change the future for Arts.
That’s enough rambling for tonight, I got a fianl tomorrow. Here are just two videos you can watch, one of the amazing opening credits of Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (Possible trigger warning.) And another of John Wick’s AMAZING club scene, I swear the John Wick movie has the most greatest Club scene in movie history.
So I went on PBSOffBook youtube channel to search for another video and I came by ANOTHER interesting one. So I went on PBSOffBook youtube channel to search for another video and I came by ANOTHER interesting one. You know I’m one for interesting videos that catch my attention and make me want to watch it. The video I watched is called ”The Rise Of Competitive Gaming & E-Sports”, and it’s pretty much about the exposure competitive gaming is getting in this generation. Many people would see it as something for children or people who have pathetic lives who have no girlfriend and are total geeks. I can tell you that’s a big mis-conception, I have been to tournaments and competed in a few small ones. There are people from various ethnicities, religions, sex, gender, sexual orientation, and groups who attend these tournaments. It’s quite the experience meeting these people who have love for the same game as you and would actually like to play a match. I’m more of a person who leans to fighting games for competition, the games I play are Mortal Kombat, Guilty Gear, Naruto: Clash Of Ninja, Under In-Birth Late Night: Exe, Tekken, King Of Fighters, Persona 4 Arena, and Dead Or Alive. I’m more skilled in Persona 4 Arena, my main being Elizabeth. A character who’s considered Low tier but I have played with her enough to learn how to use her instant kills properly and trick my opponents to just about any trap.
One of the things in the videos that stood out to me was them ention of feamles not barely being in tournaments. I have seen plenty of females who have attended tournaments and actually had fun witohut any harassment or sexism going on. I don’t know if it’s just New York because I’ve only been in tournamnets within New York. I know there are those little idiot guys who say girls can’t play videogames, are fake gamers, only in for attention, and/or tell them to go make them a sandwich. It gets really annoying to hear and makes me want to fling my controller at them. Every time I hear the word gamer, I always think that Hideo Kojima secretly delays the next Snatcher game by 3 years. Yeah, the gamer word is pretty much an annoying word to many people. (Sadly Hideo Kojima is probably done making games.. We’ll miss you Kojima-san! Screw you, Konami.) Anyways, I hope that competitive gaming gets more andm ore exposure around the world and destroy all the mis-conceptions majority of the people outside of it have. I also hope to actually make it pass round 4 in a tournament one day..
And here’s some Elizabeth.~
You know the drill here, I went on the reading list, clicked the PBS Videos link and scrolled around to see more of what they uploaded. Their videos are pretty great to watch! You know the drill here, I went on the reading list, clicked the PBS Videos link and scrolled around to see more of what they uploaded. Their videos are pretty great to watch! One that caught my attention was this specific video called ”Cosplay Changes Lives”. I am one of those people who really wants to cosplay, I’m actually prepping to go to a convention in Atlanta with a couple of good friends who live there. There are a bunch of characters I want to cosplay as, such as Gundam Tanaka from Danganronpa, The Merchant from Resident Evil 4, Midorima from Kuroko’s Basket, Marco from Attack On Titan, Guts from Berserk, and Scott Lang (Ant-Man) from Marvel. There will probably more characters I’ll wish to cosplay as in the future.
There’s one thing that made me agree so much with the video and that’s the part where one of the speakers say ”Once they wear a mask, they feel like they can be themselves.” which is so darn true for me. When ever I wear a mask I feel as if I can fully be myself and not worry what anyone else thinks. Once my horse mask comes on I can be as goofy and hilarious as I want and not have someone judging me. I think it’s more on the anonymity side of things, no one can judge you when they don’t know how you actually look, and putting the mask on is like becoming the character ontop with the costume. It’s kind of hard to explain, there’s not much of anything to go into due to it lying more on the psychology side of things which I have no major knowledge of. All I know is that once that mask and costume comes on, I have become the character and I no longer fear what others think!
