The End Has Come!

It’s the Final week of CT101 and it has been a great journey. This class has taught me so much information I will use for my future.  I learned how to create a GIF, Animated photo, a website, and a Zine page. Wow! what an experience. I knew that taking this class would help me, but I didn’t know I would come out of the class more excited about my future. This class has helped me to prepare for my career. I was able to start my business website in this class. It is still in progress, but I am thankful for the knowledge I receive to continue to build it to the way I want it to be.

The first assignment we did was a GIF. It was so much fun creating the GIF I see on social media. I always found them interesting to do.  Now I know how to make one myself. Professor Seslow did a great job explaining step by step how to create it.

We are all in this together! That is one thing I found out in this class. I remember not knowing how to do a project and a classmate helped me figure it out. That is what I call team work! When it came to creating the Zine project, we all worked together to create a DIY magazine or Zine for the New York Public Library, where our zine can be read by all who go there.  This was a fun process. I have never created anything like this before, but I am grateful I got the opportunity to be apart of this project.

Being that this is my last semester in college, I have been thinking a lot about my future. I am glad I took this course. It has help me to tap into another world of art. Mixing my art with technology and creating something unique. I design a website for my Company which is about showcasing Upcoming artist. I know that this will be a great help to my community.  This is the end of this class, but the beginning of an amazing future!

Are You Doing All You Can?

Are you doing all you can? that is the question I continue to ask myself this semester. Time is flying by and I feel as if I don’t have enough time to do all I ended to do before the semester ends. They say as a senior you may encounter senioritis. I now understand what they mean. I know I have so much to do, but I don’t have the motivation to do it. So I’m forcing myself to find that motivation from somewhere and get the work done.

Doing this Assignment, I used my story to find a way to talk to my fellow classmates and DS106 users.  Are we doing all we can to finish the semester with good grades?

For this assignment I used two posters and combined them to make one poster.

Animate me

For my first Photoshop picture animation, I chose one of chuck close Mosaics called Sienna. If you live in New York, you have most likely seen the original on the wall of the MTA Q train station at 86th street.  He has a full collection there. click here to see it.  He has an interesting story behind this piece. However, the reason i chose this piece is because of her hair. I love how free she looks. It was fun to play around with lighting and make this picture come to life.

My Failed attempt

There is an assignment on Ds106 where you have to create an image describing what kind of superpower  you would want if you could have one. If I was able to have a super power, I would want to have the power to make a force field around me whenever I needed to. I would be untouchable to all my enemies.

To do this assignment, you need two photos to join into one. I thought about how to do that. So I chose a picture of a bubble and placed myself in it. It didn’t come out the way I thought it would. It was a failed attempt. But I wanted to post it anyways to show that we don’t always get it right.
