Thanksgiving 2018 my best friends and I took a trip to Aruba. This was the view from our hotel room’s balcony. My most favorite things about nature are palm trees and sunsets. I was surprisingly underwhelmed by the country because in my opinion there is no culture there. Everything was so Americanized. All the music that was played was American and all the food I ate too. Not just on the resort either. I mean everywhere. The country has a profound background and is made up of a couple of different kinds of people so it is rather shocking that they didn’t have much to show for themselves except the few different languages some of the natives spoke.
However, the country is beautiful. Nighttime at the beach you can see the stars moving as the world rotates. Unlike New York, the skies are so blue and clear, no smog to pollute the scenery. I swear Aruba is on a point of the Earth that shows the roundness. I can’t even describe it, it was just amazing. The water (is clear of course) showed the most prettiest shade of blue, kind of resembling the pool water in the above image.
If scenery, fresh air and warm weather is what you seek, I’d say take a trip to Aruba. If you want to experience another country’s culture, I’d highly suggest this isn’t the place for that.
