The New Seven Wonders Of The World……!!

  • The New Sevens Wonders were:
  • Chichen Itza (Yucatán, Mexico)
  • Christ the Redeemer (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)
  • Great Wall of China (China)
  • Machu Picchu (Cuzco, Perú)
  • Petra (Jordan)
  • Roman Colosseum (Rome, Italy)
  • Taj Mahal (Agra, India)
  • Christ Redeemer is located in Rio de Janerio, Brazil.  The reason they built this statue is to symbolize Christianity all over that word, the statue has also became a cultural icon of both Rio de Janeiro and Brazil. The statue was completed in October 12, 1931.
  • Chichén Itzâ is located in Yucatan, Mexico. The Maya empire built Chichén Itzâ. The reason they built it is because the brilliant ruins of Chichén Itzâ evidence a dazzling ancient city that once centered the Maya empire in Central America. 

  • The great wall of China is in China. It was built by Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor. The great wall of China was built to keep out invaders as early as 7th century. It was completed in 206 BC.
  • Colosseum is located in Rome,Italy. It was built by Vespasian, Titus. It was built for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles such as mock sea battles, animal hunts, and dramas based on classical mythology.
  • Taj Mahal is located on the southern bank of the Yamuna River in the Indian City of Agra. Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan. He built this for the his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died in childbirth.
  • Petra is located in Jordan. Nabateaans built Petra. Studies have not shown why they built Petra, but some people believe it was built for a religious reason. It was built around 300 B.C.
  • Machu Picchu is located in Peru. The Incas built Machu Picchu. The reason the Incas built Machu Picchu because it was considered to be sacred, or a royal estate for the Incas. Machu Picchu was built around 1450.
