Today I found myself listening to a lot of Jazz music, as it is one of genres of music. I listened to the works of some old yet classic artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, The Oscar Peterson Trio, Tony Bennett and Nina Simone. The modern (Contemporary Jazz) artists I listened to included, Esperanza Spalding, the late Amy Winehouse, Corinne Bailey Rae, Patrice Jégou, Ben Tankard, Rachelle Ferrell, Morgan James, Gary Clark Jr, and the early works of Chrisette Michele. The soothing sounds of complex instrumentation, embellished impromptu vocals, with the combination of rhythm and tightly crafted harmonies rang throughout my house today. Let’s just say that it was the perfect day for an audio-visual session of pure unadulterated Jazz!
