Today I saw an amazing speech by Gardner Campbell, at first I thought it be an hour and half of boring speech but this turned out to be amazing interesting. His way of speech is interesting and those powerpoint slides is super interesting. His speech also contains comedy in there to help the crowd understand better and made me question a lot of things. One quote means the most to me is “Today’s technologies and their consequent environments succeed each other so rapidly that one environment makes us aware of the next. Technologies begin to perform the function of art in making us aware of the psychic and social consequences of technology….We are entering the new age of education that is programmed for discovery rather than instruction.”
This quote is meaningful to me because every year new technology comes out for example iPhone 6 just came before everyone was thrilled about the Galaxy S5. Then when the iPhone 6 came out the Galaxy has been slowly less popular everyone went to iPhone 6 to see what new functions they have. We are now discovering many things by our own and not standing there and listening to instruction and tell us what we can do and not do, we discover those ideas ourselves and if we fail we just made an mistake. Those mistakes just make our discovery much better.
